Family Proclamation!

We are trying to memorize The Family Proclamation! I really believe that memorizing things will benefit our lives, stretch our minds and our hearts. 

Packing List!

Camp is June 6-June 10.

Here is a sample list of things to pack!

Young Women Camp Packing List (Example)

Clothes
4 pair of long pants or sweats (shorts % capris are not permitted at HVC) 4-5 shirts, long and short sleeved (long enough to cover stomach area) 4-5 pair of underwear
4-5 pair of socks
1-2 sweatshirts
1 coat/jacket
1 pair of gloves for warmth
Warm PJ’s
Tennis shoes, or comfortable closed-toe shoes
Hiking boots or shoes
Flip flops (for showering only)
Hiking & Camping (4th year girls will bring additional gear for overnighter) 
Light backpack or fanny pack
Water bottle or canteen
Whistle to wear around neck
Sunscreen
Bug repellant
Pocketknife
Compass
Sunglasses
Hat for sun protection
Rain poncho
Gloves for service project
Flashlight
Personal first-aid kit
Sleeping bag
Pillow
Air mattress or sleeping pad (no thicker than 5”) 
Camp chair (optional)

Personal Items
Toiletries— Deodorant, toothbrush/paste, lotion, soap, shampoo, hairbrush, feminine products
Towel for showering
Hand towel/wash cloth
Personal cup to use at dinner time, clearly labeled
Scriptures
Camp manual
Pen and pencil for journaling
Personal journal
Camera
*Music player and cell phones are not permitted for young women to bring **Please be prepared for inclement weather!!!! 

Our skit!

Our skit is based on the section from the Family Proclamation that says,
"Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved by...prayer."

So be thinking!

We will be planning our skit for mutual on May 25 and June 1st at 7:00 pm.
